On April 7th, Ms. Polina experienced a right knee injury after slipping on snow in Russia. Seeking expert care, she arrived at Saudigerman Hospital in Dubai where Dr. Mazen Daoud, Consultant Orthopedic Surgery, examined and evaluated her. Diagnostic tests revealed an avulsion injury of the anterior cruciate ligament and a displaced posterolateral tibiaplateau fracture.

To address these injuries, Dr. Mazen Daoud performed a surgical operation involving arthroscopic fixation of the ACL injury and open reduction of the posterolateral tibial plateau fracture, followed by support with bone graft and fixation using a posterior plate and screws. With the assistance of our physiotherapy department, Ms. Polina commenced walking the day after the operation. Although her recovery will require multiple sessions of physiotherapy, we remain hopeful for a positive outcome for her knee.
